About
After teaching and publishing in academia for many years, Margie resigned her faculty position to follow her heart. Her heart led her to study at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. A year later she founded Dancing the Soul, a Center for Movement and Stillness, which she owned for 10 years. Certified in Reiki, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Dance, Trauma Informed Yoga and Yoga Nidra, she now works independently as the owner of Conscious Movements. Her first book, Seven Lights of Love recounts her own journey from pain to wholeness and self-acceptance. Margie’s commitment to women’s health and wellness continues to inspire her to lead Women’s Circles and teach yoga and movement to women of all ages and abilities. Her own desire to stay healthy and strong, and have fun doing so, led her to start taking Aerial classes where her aquarius rising is experiencing tremendous creativity and independence. Marco, her playful and affectionate cat, can be seen jumping to great heights to keep up.

Our Inner gps, that guiding path of the soul, is always speaking to us, and when necessary, rerouting us to find our way home to ourselves. Our challenge is to get to know that voice of guidance and rely on it to direct us to wholeness and love. Following Our Inner gps tells the true stories of people who connected with their Inner gps and allowed it to awaken, guide, protect and console them along their life journey. Amazingly varied and inspiring, these stories are rich in love and hope and connection to the Source of Love. They show that all of us have an Inner gps that helps us weave the threads of our journey on this earth and tap into that Source of Love. I share these stories with the hope that you too will delve into your own life experiences, learn how to listen to your Inner gps and allow it to awaken, guide, protect and console you along your path.

Seven Lights of Love takes you on a journey into the author’s growth into wholeness. The book illustrates the importance of self-love and self-acceptance as we face our shadows, be they pain, anxiety, grief or loneliness. By learning how to embrace rather than ignore or reject both the beauty and heartbreak of our humanness, we discover how to celebrate the beauty and heartbreak of others’ experiences and connect with them. Neither easy nor painless, this hero/heroine’s journey of self-discovery opens us to the preciousness of our Soul’s Purpose and ultimately connect us to the Oneness of the Universe.
